QA Engineer (playwright & manual)

Who we are & The Mission

Welcome to Onelity. We aren’t just another software house; we are a smart-shoring partner engaging in high-value, long-term partnerships. We believe in a simple philosophy: To know, to learn, to share.

Our culture is strictly flat. We don’t care about titles when we sit at the table; we care about ideas, honesty, and mutual respect. If you love sharing knowledge and believe that “we” is stronger than “I,” you’ll fit right in.

The Project: Our engineering team is tackling a massive modernization challenge for a major wholesale supplier, building a robust, modular platform from scratch. While the new platform is being built, the current solution remains vital to daily operations. We need a dedicated QA professional to step in and take ownership of the quality assurance for this existing application during this critical parallel transition phase.

The Mission:

We are looking for a QA Engineer to be the quality guardian of this ecosystem. Manual testing and sharp critical thinking are your primary weapons. However, we want someone who can look ahead and map out future automation pathways using Playwright and TypeScript where possible.

What’s in it for you (Benefits)

We don’t just ask for your skills; we invest in your future. Here is why you should join us for this exciting QA Engineer position:

  • Attractive Remuneration: We offer a salary package that reflects your experience and expertise.

  • Holiday Vibes: Enjoy extra days off on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve to relax and celebrate.

Key Responsibilities: Your Impact

As you will be the tester on this track, you won’t just execute test cases, you will define how quality is managed. More specifically, your duties for this QA Engineer role will be the following:
  • QA Ownership: Own the day-to-day testing activities, acting as the quality champion for application quality before features hit production.
  • Release & Sprint Management: Work within a Scrum/Agile sprint structure. During the final week of the release cycle, you will independently look after manually verifying new features and organizing regression testing to ensure a smooth release.
  • End-to-End Testing: Design, plan, and execute comprehensive UI testing on web applications, System testing, System Integration testing, and complete End-to-End (E2E) workflows.
  • API Testing: Actively test requests and verify backend data integrity using Postman.
  • Automation Roadmap: Bridge the gap between manual and automated testing by evaluating the platform and mapping out testing scripts via Playwright / TypeScript where feasible.

Requirements: What you bring

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer who can establish QA priorities. This is what you need to succeed:
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Software Testing with a proven track record of handling complex web applications.
  • Strong experience in backend API testing and a deep understanding of UI, System, and Integration testing levels.
  • Solid experience working within Scrum/Agile environments and managing structured sprint releases.
  • Foundational knowledge or hands-on exposure to test automation frameworks, specifically Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Excellent command of the English language (both verbal and written) is a must. German language skills will be considered a very strong plus.
  • Bonus Points: An ISTQB certification or equivalent training is highly appreciated.
